
Get ready for some TV "Satisfaction."
FX announced yesterday (Dec. 10, 2020) that a new series about The Rolling Stones is in the works. Network CEO John Landgraf made the reveal during The Walt Disney Company's investor call, during which dozens of projects, from additional Star Wars films and series to animated projects, sequels and remakes, were announced.
According to Landgraf, the series will be ordered for two seasons with a focus on their years as part of the British Invasion in the 1960s all the way up to 1972, the year they released Exile on Main St. Left Bank Pictures, the studio behind Netflix's The Crown, will produce, and acclaimed author Nick Hornby (High Fidelity) will be the series' writer. Production and air dates have yet to be announced.

The band most recently reissued their 1973 album Goats Head Soup in a deluxe box set.
