Hey, hey, they're saying goodbye.

The Monkees have announced dates for a farewell tour to take place in the fall of 2021. The 20-date trek will take place from September to November and promises "a magical night of music: all the hits, deep cuts and fan favorites." Tickets and VIP packages go on sale to the general public through the week, with all dates on sale by Friday, May 7, 2021. Select presales will be available as well.

The Monkees Farewell Tour will feature the two surviving members of the original group, Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith. It's the duo's second tour together; a 2018 trek was chronicled on the live album The Mike and Micky Show. (An intended follow-up, An Evening with The Monkees, was sidelined in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.) A full list of dates is below.

The duo have remained active on their own in recent months: Nesmith recently released Different Drum: The Lost RCA Victor Recordings, comprised of solo rarities from the '70s; later this month, Dolenz will release a new solo album, Dolenz Sings Nesmith, featuring songs written by Mike and produced by Mike's son Christian.
