Marc Bolan and T. Rex are officially in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The legendary UK rock band that brought the world such instant classics as "Bang a Gong," "Jeepster," and "20th Century Boy" was inducted into the Rock Hall this year, and his son, Rolan Bolan, accepted the honors.

"I really think my dad was put on this Earth not only to play music, but to show off his unique magnetism and charisma. He took inspiration from American music, but formulated his own persona and his own sound. The T. Rex sound kept evolving up through when my mother joined the group, creating a cosmic soul which still tests musical boundaries as well as racial ones." Watch the full acceptance speech below.
