If you think it never sucks to hear a song by The Doors, maybe you'll enjoy hearing them in a movie trailer about a guy who sucks - literally.
A spooky remix of the band's "People Are Strange" can be heard in a newly-released trailer for Morbius, a new action-horror movie based on the Marvel Comics character. The film stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a gifted doctor whose attempts to cure his rare blood disease turn him into a living vampire - with superhuman strength, enhanced reflexes and, of course, a taste for blood.

Morbius is slated to arrive in theaters Jan. 28, 2022 - heavily delayed from its original 2020 release date thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the comic book geeks out there, there's still no word how exactly this film connects to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe: characters like Morbius (an adversary of the wall-crawling Spider-Man) are put on film by Sony Pictures as part of a "Spider-Man Universe," but the potential to cross over is alive. (Last month's Venom: Let There Be Carnage ended with an implied shift into the multiverse action that drives the plot of December's third and newest Spider-Man film, and Michael Keaton, who played the villainous Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, looks to be reprising that role in Morbius.)

If none of that made sense to you, perhaps you'd rather know that The Doors' latest project, a 50th anniversary deluxe edition of 1971's L.A. Woman (their last album before singer Jim Morrison's death) is in stores Dec. 3, and a theatrical screening of the band's 1968 set at the Hollywood Bowl will take place Nov. 4. Guitarist Robby Krieger's memoir Set the Night on Fire was also published in October.
