My Chemical Romance End Six-Year Hiatus, Announce A Reunion Show

Rumors began circulating earlier today when the band launched an official Instagram page for the first time.The band then announced details of their return, set for December 20 at Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

Bringing their six year hiatus to a close, the rock band broke up in 2013, with their most recent album release being the 2010 Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous KilljoysFrontman Gerard Way, guitarists Frank Iero and Ray Toro have since worked on their own respective solo projects, while bassist Mikey Way has been contributing as a vocalist and instrumentalist in rock duo Electric Century. 

Since their announcement, AXS has posted a site where fans can purchase tickets for their return performance, available tomorrow (November 1), starting at noon. The Shrine Auditorium has also released details of the show, with tickets starting at $149.50.

"Like Phantoms Forever," the band captioned their surprise announcement on Instagram, a nostalgic reference to the title of their debut EP back in 2002.
